I have been a client of Lisa's since August of 2007 after three sessions with someone who performed Rolfing in Knoxville but suddenly had to leave the area because of an ailing family member. I initially hurt my back in 2001 and managed to get periodic relief with physical therapy and chiropractic visits. By the time I visited Lisa I felt as though something was "twisted" from my lower back down my right leg. I thought if I could just "pop" my leg, everything would be fine. My primary care doctor was considering steroid/pain relief injections to my back, but I decided to give this type of therapy a try. Working in a doctor's office I understood that the injections themselves would create more scar tissue. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to descirbe my pain, but not Lisa. After performing a thorough exam and listening to my history, she knew exactly where the problem was and what needed to be done. The problem wasn't even with my right side but my left! I decided to take the plunge and do the 10-step program, and I went from not being able to rest at night or hardly being able to walk across the parking lot at work without considerable pain to being able to walk around Disney with my 9-year-old during fall break of last year ... and just after the 5th session. I can honestly say I would not have been able to do that without Lisa's help. She is a lifesaver in my book! I'd highly recommend her to anyone, and she'll not only be a wonderful therapist but a true friend!
